A tactile driving

While we are driving, we sense our surroundings primary visually. At the same time our sense of sight gets more and more strained by visual interfaces and assistance systems. Because of the limited capacity of visual attention, this monosensuality can be very dangerous in situations where the sense of vision is simply overwhelmed (e.g. snow, a crowded street, night,...).

Through the integration of more senses this project creates a multisensual driving experience.

Diverse, tactile, intuitive feedbacks placed at the driver's seat, the pedals and the steering wheel make it possible for the driver to get a 360° impression of his surroundings

All of these feedbacks are very subtle and rarely conciously sensable, they are aiming for the subconcious part of the mind giving the user a three dimensional, intuitive understandable impression of the surrounding.
